Best bookstore café in Jacksonville, FL | Happy Medium Books Café
Join us this month for SPOOKY Sunday with Authors and Poets. This month we have Tim Gilmore and Michael JP Whitmer.
Tim Gilmore writes about the haunted South, the “spirit of place” (or psychogeography), the South as center of America’s cultural rifts. Gilmore sees the South’s particular patterns of crime, its fundamentalism, its racial irresolution at the heart of America’s divisions and its stories, and therefore, as illustrative and necessary. Tim Gilmore is a writer based in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the author of more than twenty books and the creator of jaxpsychogeo.com.
Michael J.P. Whitmer is a dad, and published speculative fiction writer, living in his sunny hometown of Jacksonville Beach, FL.
He won the Watty Awards Best in Horror 2010 for his story “Day of the Undead Sophomores” and 2016 Theme of Absence’s Halloween Horror Fiction contest for “The Girl in the Window.”
