DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Café for an afternoon of Readings from Tricia Booker and Sohrab Fracis! \n“Sohrab Homi Fracis’s book of Riverside and elsewhere stories\, True Fiction\, won the 2023 International Book Award for story collections. Stanford University Libraries shortlisted his novel\, Go Home\, for the William Saroyan International Prize. Ticket to Minto is the first book by an Asian American to win the Iowa Short Fiction Award\, juried by the legendary Iowa Writers’ Workshop and described by the New York Times as “among the most prestigious literary prizes America offers.” He was Twin Cities Visiting Writer in Residence at Augsburg College and Artist in Residence at Yaddo. He received the Florida Individual Artist Fellowship and the South Asian Literary Association’s Distinguished Achievement Award.” \n  \nTricia Booker is an award-winning journalist who has written for Folio Weekly\, Southern Living\, Notre Dame Magazine\, and other publications around the country. She currently teaches journalism at the University of North Florida and writes a popular blog about topics ranging from politics and literature to adoption and manners. Her first book\, The Place of Peace and Crickets\, is a memoir about how Tricia and her former husband adopted three children.
